This site is committed to providing you the most current and up to date old, ancient and dated information on history and preservation, along with current information available on issues of preservation in Orange County North Carolina.

In Orange County there are three distinct legally defined preservation jurisdictions. There are historic district commissions in the towns of  Chapel Hill and Hillsborough. There is also an Orange County Historic Commission that has jurisdiction in the greater Orange County.
